Youngseob Jung, PhD

Youngseob is a postdoctoral researcher in Genetics with an interest in neurodegenerative diseases. He completed his PhD at POSTECH in South Korea, where he primarily studied the translational regulation of synaptic mRNAs critical for learning and memory. Youngseob also investigated the post-transcriptional control of clock genes which are important for maintaining circadian rhythm. After joining the Lim lab in 2020, Youngseob has been focusing on characterizing the function of microglial Nlk in the context of frontotemporal dementia as well as TDP-43 proteinopathy using various in vitro and in vivo model systems.
